All legitimate wrestling competitions are divided into weight classes like Boxing.
In Pro-wrestling its different as most wrestlers are called "Heavyweights" particularly in the US and anywhere which copies the McMahon schstick no matter what they weigh.
In Britain there used to be different classes of wrestler by weight so Brit Pro is not the same as American hence the extra 'interest' the moderators have put into the profile picks here. Lightweight pro wrestling in Britain was the most spectacular in the world IMO.
Hope that helps///
PS as a tall skinny lightweight myself fighting guys shorter and heavier, height means nothing, Their greater power makes me being taller irrelevant.
I'm new to wrestling and trying to understand the terminology. What determines who's the bigger or smaller of two wrestlers, height or weight? Ex: one fighter is 5-7 200 pounds verses a 6-0 160 pound opponent.
