Monica purchased the ring, but is trying to find a place in South London but business rates are astronomical so if anyone knows of a place with good rates, please message me on here and I will forward it on to her
Sad news about Grove Park.
I must say a big Thankyou to Iain for the letting out of his place. I wish him well and all the best for the future. Whatever and wherever it takes him.
If the ring could be saved or bought by a member and moved to a lock up location or empty building venue we could use and pay a membership toward to keep it up and running I'm sure more of us wrestlers would use it, I think the current venues problem is a real lack of people know about it.
Only learnt about the place earlier this year, spoke with Iain (owner) who showed me around.
Fabulous quirky venue with a proper ring, visited several times since to film matches there, as it does have such an atmospheric feel to the place.
A genuine sad loss when it goes.
This is an urgent update regarding the wrestling ring at Grove Park.
You might be aware that about two years ago I gave notice regarding closure of the ring space here. The lockdown-crap pretty much threw a lot of my plans up in the air at that time but the time has now arrived.
So in the next month or two I’ll be finally closing up the grove Park wrestling space. The place is hardly being used for bookings now and is pretty much a wasted space which I could put to more productive uses. I’ll also be going back home to my own country in the next six months anyway.
This means I have a full-on and proper pro-wrestling ring available for sale plus lotsa general wrestling kit to dispose of. So from today I’m looking for bids from anyone that wants a wrestling ring and/or kit. If I’m unable to sell it then it will go as scrap.
Bookings will still be available for guys wanting to wrestle in a real wrestling ring until the whole structure has been dismantled and removed.
I want thank all the guys who have made use of the Grove Park ring in the past. Your support was vital to keep it all going.
I have some news that the wrestling ring at Grove Park, SE London is due for closure. I guess that is partly due to Covid and restrictions. It would be a great shame if it closes fully 😢
If more people were to use the facility on a regular basis, it may have had a longer future but it seems that Iain is moving onto pastures new so get there before the closure

Its a shame as it has been a great wrestling venue, but understand the reasons for the closeure.
Good things can't last for ever and sometimes people need to move on.
