Most of us would be tense to start with, thats only natural, and until you have both developed a social history, and understand each other. Then you tend to relax, and your puncher, knowing this works with you. But I think that this You Tube clip best explains it.

We do this because we enjoy it, the visceral feelings in your guts, from being pounded in your belly mostly do have a sexual connotation to them, as the exercise is very stimulating. Better than doing drugs, any day.

Love gut punching either way.. flexed or unfixed.. Been training over the years to take a huge amount of punching.. in the last few un flexed as well.. I agree, it relates to opposite sex roles. This is just one way to express it, but I'm straight except for this fetish. I don't think anyone is purely only one sexual orientation. It's the elephant in the room that few want to acknowledge. It's why adolescents are so insecure and reactive to sex related insults. I think environmental and cultural elements have a lot to do with what we end up relating to sex. In my case, years of physical and emotional abuse were the precursor to my adaptation - sexualized self-loathing. I have never had a problem leaving my gut relaxed and I've never understood why guys are automatically in tense mode especially if you have trust in the knowledge that the guy punching you has no reason to harm you. Afterall, as a puncher I would think (I do) that you want your recipient there again for more sessions in the future, as well be able to return the punches if you so desire, don't you think ?!!!

When I was a teen and young adult, none of my peers could begin to sink a fist in. The only way to feel a punch (besides the sting of it hitting the surface) was to be sucker punched. Like you, I really wanted to feel it deeply. I avoided gut strengthening exercise. Eventually, I was able to feel more deep impact, but there never has been a whole lot of pain, except for the soreness that comes a day later. I'm older and weaker now. By the looks of your biceps, you could jam my gut muscles against my spine, even if I was flexed.

And I can't find a guy who can punch as long as I can take. Haha.

It only takes a couple of punches for the fist to start sinking into my gut, but I like the period when endorphins are worked up and my gut is numb and helpless and the breath is being punched out of me, then the pain starts out deep and keeps increasing.

My favourite game to play is If you tie me up & blindfold me & punch me I have to then straighten up arch my back & soften the abs for the next on slaughter & keep doing it till the puncher is satisfied. If at any point I attempt to move, protect or flex (which you do do after few solid punches) then the punishment increases & goes for longer!! Last time with my last opponent for every time I flexed or protected I got 5 by kettle bell (8kgs) forced into my gut while on my back arched & blindfolded!!
