If people contact me, and only want to exchange messages without any intent of meeting IRL, I'll block them. I'm not into small talk, and it seems a lot of people here just want to waste people's time by just wanting to talk about sex. I hate time wasters with a passion. If you're not into IRL, leave me alone. I don't do chit chat.
It's very frustrating to experience. After lots of texting, commitment, planning with time, travel and expense to have nothing to show for it. What happened to standing by a commitment made. I'm taking a new approach. Both must agree to share the cost in advance. One may have to host or pay for a room. Share the costs.
I learned many years ago (like 20, when I used a different site) that I wouldn't travel for a match only. I would happily do it as part of a trip, but no trips only to wrestle.
I have had a lot of the same experiences on several websites. Lots of flakes, no-shows and the like. I cannot host, and look for someone who can. However, my best experiences have been with those who host at their place, or have a room. This assures me that they are not a flake. I know that if a guy is hosting, he is serious.
I have made several attempts to meet guys who agree to share the costs, yet I end up sitting in a parking lot waiting for them to show. I don't find agreeing to share the cost of a motel in advance to assure someone won't flake.
It's unfortunate that so many people will act like this, but I've learned to expect it and keep my expectations low until after meeting a guy in person.
There have been a couple of times I've met in person and we just didn't seem to be as compatible as we thought, but I don't mind that. It happens (literally twice over the decades). I do appreciate that they followed through though, and I don't harbor any ill wishes against guys like that-at least they put in the effort.
When ever I plan on meeting a new wrestler, No matter how many e mails messages or text I have exchange with Him, I don't belive them until they walk through the door.
LOL Don't be premature! Years ago, I had one guy walk in . . . I turned around to lower the TV, I turned back . . . he was gone! I don't believe until we are locked up wrestling!
On a recent trip thru NE Ohio, and Western PA, I had 5 matches lined up; one had to work unexpectedly....ok, but did not tell me or explain until I had left the area. The others: #1 - unexpected disaster (excused for not replying or confirming the day of, or the day before); #2 - over 100 very enthusiastic messages exchanged during the prior year, then stopped replying the day before with no reason and then of course no match ensued, no explanation, no reply to my entreaties.; #3 - again over 100 excited messages over the prior year, then emailed an hour after appointed time, too drunk to come, (please forgive me) could we postpone until morning, then cancelled that morning too hung over; #4 - finally, a true-blue who enthusiastically followed through and showed up for a terrific time.
Moral......when traveling, plan on lots of no-shows, disappearances from the message exchange, valid reasons, inexplicable situations, baffling dudes, and the occasional total flake who may not even exist (this happened three times over the last many years, but not on this trip) !

Very common here in Las Vegas. Few answer due ageism but among those that actually do delay after delay after delay and the flimsiest of excuses. Even though I have mats and there is 24/7 bus service from theStrip and other areas to with two short blocks of me hard to get any one of any age to practice wrestling technqiues.
Some men’s crazy behavior is inexplicable. Moral-don’t have high expectations hence fewer disappointments. But it is truly baffling. The only thing I can say is that many get hot while talking here then they just may not be in the mood when the match is supposed to happen
