Happy Holidays and Media Update for Messages
Dear Fighters,
We’ve rolled out some updates to our messaging system to make sharing pictures and getting to know each other even easier. Starting today, you can:
Direct private file sharing
- Upload and send private pictures and videos directly from your device, including using your mobile camera for instant captures.
- Share documents with support for all common file types.
- Send messages containing only media files — no text required.
- Security: All uploaded files are scanned for viruses to keep everything secure. To avoid spam and abuse, the reporting of such messages has been improved, and restrictions for abuse have been adjusted accordingly.
An update for our app will follow soon to include these new media messaging features. And we will work on showing previews for received video files.
As the holiday season approaches, we’re also bringing back our MeetFighters X-mas cards! Send these festive cards directly to other members or to their email addresses and spread some holiday cheer.

2024 Highlights
As 2024 comes to a close, let’s take a moment to reflect on some MeetFighters highlights from this year:
- Exactly one year ago on December 23rd, 2023, we launched our app, and in 2024, we pushed a massive 2.0 update, adding our chat feature to the app.
- Event System 2.0 launched
- The Combat Calendar made its debut
- Two massive chat updates rolled out: a completely new design and the addition of permanent history.
- We introduced the Safety Check-In feature
- More profile customization options were added
- MeetKink, our new platform, was launched

A heartfelt thank you to all our contributors who keep the website free from advertisements and data collection for everyone and make these updates possible.
A special shoutout goes to our team of volunteering supporters and translators for their invaluable efforts.
We’ll keep working hard to make the site even better.

Regarding the old messenger:
We kept the old messenger available as long as possible to ease the transition.
The new messenger offers more features and greater flexibility, including the newly added media file options. Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to continue developing and supporting two separate versions. While we understand that some users may prefer the classic layout, we hope you’ll come to appreciate our efforts to improve and modernize the platform.
It’s worth noting that less than 3% of users were still using the old messenger.
