If anyone has links to videos that they believe are real I'd like to have them.
So many of the ones you see make it look as though the buster is in more pain pretending to squeeze his opponent's bollocks than the owner of them.
Ol boy at the top is 100% wrong about dudes wearing cups unless it’s for storyline purposes. Doing that much movement, you would never wear a cap because it could pop forward and pinch or crack and stab you. A lot of times it’s just a guessing game on whether the shot will actually land or not. If you watch the video of Kurt Angle stomping Mr. Anderson as he leaves the ring that was a direct hit.
They're as real as any other pro wrestling blow. So most of the time, no, it looks like a nut shot, but the nuts don't really get nailed.
Accidents do happen, so a lot of wrestlers wear a box. If you ever go to smaller independent shows, there are a few wrestlers who will deliberately get in some "accidental" nut shots, especially in battle royals and the like, but you won't see that type of thing in large promotions like WWE.
I think there are probably some that are accidental but most of the rest are clearly not. Some can fake it better than others. You only have to see a guy get genuinely hit in the nuts in a UFC match to know that real busts pretty much stop a fight
That’s very dependent on the guy, though Roy Nelson and Ben Rothwell have both taken low blows, and basically no sold them. I’m pretty sure Ben Rothwell told the guy to kick him again.

In all three of these you can see their bulge rebound from the shot.

Good point, MIke. You know it's pretense too when the squeezer makes more noise than the recipient.

I agree that a low blow needn't stop a fight; some guys can take them much better than others.
