all of your comments do express an idea i have had for a long time. doesn't alleviate things, but i guess it helps to know that others feel the same way, and it's "not just me.' don't know how to fix the distance/time/money thing. but i will put on an invite again if anyone can make the trip to the midwest, i can host/can travel some, say to chicago or twin cities if a guy could get that close. i do make road trips, esp in the summer, and have done several already to try to meet up before they cart me off to the retirement home. so the invite is out there, esp in the midwest. thanks.
Methinks the. covid threat has put people off meeting up - especially since one HAS to get real close to the opponent when wrestling. Hopefully, now that the plandemic is waning, bouts will restart to happen.
Still quiet on here. Hopefully wrestling opportunities are starting to emerge for lightweights. Though the distance to travel is often an issue in terms of time & cost.
Thats due to not finding any light weights that want to wrestle. Seems like especially here in the State of Washington trying to get somebody to try setting up a match I send them messages yet never get replies
If only it was ever easy to get matches. Sadly some others seem to ignore messages. its happened to me - sent a friendly message and get zero in return. Don't profess to have an answer. Keep trying and hopefully things will work out.
Its been rather quiet on here over the past months. on the lightweight interest group. Lightweights do seem to be in the minority on this site in any case. No doubt as things are getting better, everyone is looking forward to meeting up for wrestling over the summer. Hoping its a great summer...
